About

I moved from New Orleans Louisiana to Freeport Maine in 1997. I studied art and interior design at the University of Mississippi in Oxford and I've worked for architectural and design firms in Jackson MS, New Orleans LA, and Portland ME. Now I enjoy concentrating on expanding my art practice, painting and drawing skills. I paint landscapes, seascapes, saltwater marshes and anything else that catches my eye.
I am a founding member of the Meetinghouse Arts gallery in Freeport and served on the board of directors from 2020-2024. I am still active as the gallery director and show curator.
I work and paint in my Freeport Maine studio but I enjoy painting outside as often as I am able in the New England climate. Through my art I'm able to explore the relationship of objects, colors beyond the obvious, light and shadows, values and textures. These things are so easy to miss in our busy lives. Painting and sketching helps me focus on my surroundings and notice the details that could otherwise slip past.
